Legacy of Steven Weinberg (1933-2021) in particle physics

Abstract: Steven Weinberg passed away recently (23 July 2021) and this sad occasion provided the impetus to review his enormous influence on particle physics in the past more than a half century. I will try to give the audience a sense why he is regarded as one of greatest particle theorists of the XX. century.
