In 1915, Einstein was the first to think about gravitational waves. Their existence was confirmed exactly one hundred years later, in 2015, with direct detections, in a large collaboration, with Hungarian and ELTE participation. The ELTE participants of the team of international researchers were led by astrophysicist Zsolt Frei. He says that the measurability of gravitational waves is not just another proof of Einstein's theory, but a completely new tool in the hands of humanity to understand the universe. Zsolt does not think in terms of days, not even years, but in scales that span generations. In the podcast, he talked about his life and work.
