Member of the Hungarian Scientific Council for Space Research, member of the CRAF Expert Committee (hosted and administered by the European Science Foundation), former member of the Hungarian ESA Delegation, former elected member of the steering committee of Division H of the International Astronomical Union.

Awards:
Master Teacher Gold Medal by the Minister of Informatics and Technology

Field of scientific expertise:
• observational astronomy using ground-based and spaceborne facilities
• radio and infrared measurement technology, radio frequency interference protection
• physics, astrophysics, radiation propagation modelling, multivariate statistics

Professional experience:
• He was PI of and senior expert in the BEST Program Feasibility Study and PI of and senior expert in the BEST Conceptual Design project for the Hungarian Radio Ground Station development including a mm VLBI station BEST-18M-RAS.
• Participation in international space projects: member of the THESEUS Core Team and head of the Hungarian THESEUS science team; PI of the Hungarian research group in the ESA Planck-Herschel Galactic Cold Cores key-project; member of the Japanese AFSAS Mission Team in the JAXA AKARI space observatory mission; member of the ISOPHOT Data Centre at Heidelberg in the ESA ISO space telescope mission.
• Construction industry experience: assistant manager; supervisor: non-destructive evaluation of coatings
• R&D manager: supervisor of successful basic research proposals; PI of database construction; project manager of international researcher exchange projects (with Germany, France, Austria)
